3. VFS Global Passport Renewal Center (PaRC) Abu Dhabi

PaRC accepts only simple passport renewal applications that don’t involve any change in the passport data. If you need to update your information (e.g., changing surname after marriage), you must renew your passport at the Embassy.

4. VFS Global Passport Renewal Center (PaRC) Dubai

Like in Abu Dhabi, PaRC in Dubai allows you to renew your passport as long as no change will be done on the data page. If you should change any detail on your passport, apply for renewal at the Consulate instead.

5. Consular outreach mission

The Consulate in Dubai holds special consular missions for Filipinos living in the Northern Emirates. For schedules and updates, check the Announcements and Notices page of the Consulate’s website.

Update: As of October 2021, the Consulate in Dubai has resumed its outreach missions. You may secure an ePassport appointment for the consular outreach programs in Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Ajman, Sharjah, and Umm Al Quwain. How To Renew Philippine Passport in Dubai or Abu Dhabi in UAE: 7 Steps

1. Schedule an online appointment

All four passport renewal sites in the UAE require applicants to book an appointment.

• Embassy in Abu Dhabi – Visit the ePassport Appointment Portal. Account registration is required for first-time users. For passport renewal appointment of kids with special needs, send an email to [email protected] with the subject “Special Needs Child.”
• PaRC Abu Dhabi – Send an email to [email protected] or call 02-4120251.
• Consulate in Dubai – Use the Dubai PCG Appointment System. Register for an account before securing a slot.
• PaRC Dubai – Send an email to [email protected]. 

Once you’ve booked an appointment, you’ll receive an email confirmation. Print a copy and bring it on your scheduled date for passport renewal. 

2. Go to the Embassy/Consulate/PaRC on your scheduled appointment

Arrive at the Embassy, Consulate, or passport renewal center 15 minutes before your appointment time. Show your email confirmation printout to the security guard or staff attendant.

• Embassy in Abu Dhabi: Get a queue number at the Information Counter.
• Consulate in Dubai: No need to get a queue number. Just go directly to the Passport Processing Cabin.
• PaRC Abu Dhabi/Dubai: Get a queue number and proceed to the processing area.

3. Submit the Philippine passport renewal requirements

Embassy/PaRC: When your number is called, hand over your requirements. The processor will check if your form and documents are complete.

Consulate in Dubai: Drop your current passport into the box with a label showing your appointment time. Wait for your name to be called. When it’s your turn, submit your documents. The processor will check if they’re complete.

4. Pay the passport renewal fee

Proceed to the cashier to pay the Philippine passport renewal fee of AED 240.

If you apply at PaRC Abu Dhabi or Dubai, pay the AED 91.75 convenience fee on top of the passport fee.

5. Have your photo and biometrics captured

Go to the encoding area for your photo and biometrics data capturing.

6. Check the availability of your passport

Wait for eight to 12 weeks before claiming your new passport.

To know when you can pick it up, check the website of the Embassy in Abu Dhabi or the Consulate in Dubai for the list of available passports for release. If you find your name on the list, write down on your receipt the reference number located next to your name.

If you applied at PaRC, wait for an email confirmation of the availability of your new passport. You can search for your name on the Embassy or Consulate website as well. Or track your application status through the VFS Global website. Just type your reference number and last name, check the reCAPTCHA box and click the Submit button.

Is your passport still not available after over six weeks? You may follow up by sending an email to [email protected] (for applications in Dubai only).

7. Claim your new Philippine passport

You can pick up your passport only at the site where you submitted your renewal application. If you applied at PaRC Dubai, for example, you can’t claim your passport at the Consulate.

Embassy in Abu Dhabi²:

1. Go to the Passport Releasing Section (No prior appointment required).
2. Put your claim stub on the tray or box. Wait for your name to be called.
3. Present your old passport and official receipt.
4. Receive your new passport and check the details on it.
5. Sign on the signature pad.

Passports renewed at the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi are released at the Embassy every Sunday to Thursday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. 

Consulate in Dubai: 

1. Set a schedule through the Dubai PCG Online Appointment System for Passport Releasing. 
2. On your scheduled appointment, go to the Mabini Hall C, C3 Releasing Section.
3. Present your old passport and official receipt.
4. Receive your new passport and check the details on it.

PaRC Abu Dhabi/Dubai: Go to the passport renewal center (no prior appointment required) and present your official receipt and old passport.

Passports renewed at the VFS Global in Abu Dhabi are released at VFS Global, WTC Mall, Abu Dhabi from Sundays to Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

If you can’t personally claim your passport, you may assign someone to do it for you. Your authorized representative must present your authorization letter, your old passport and official receipt, and his or her valid ID.

Note that in the Embassy in Abu Dhabi, only an immediate family member (parent, sibling, spouse, or child) is allowed to claim your passport.
