What are the reasons for my Australian tourist visa application to be denied?
Sometimes it is hard to understand why your visa application is denied after you have provided all the requirements needed to support your application.
Visa application is highly dependent upon the examiner deciding on your application. The examiner bases the denial of your application on failure to satisfy the Public Interest Criterion (PIC) 4020 which means you
- do not satisfy the visa examiner as to your identity
- provide bogus documents or information that is false and misleading in relation to your current visa application or
- provided bogus documents or information that is false and misleading in relation to a visa that you held in the 12 months before making your current application.
Also, based on several threads, visa is denied if you fail to show sufficient funds to support your stay in Australia; the visa examiner is not satisfied that you will return to your home country after the end of your intended trip; the purpose of your travel (tourism) is doubtful, among other reasons.
