Camille Lamera

  • Licensed medical doctor for 3 years with clinical, academe, and public health experience.

Education

She has a Bachelor of Science in Biology degree from the University of the East where she also graduated as cum laude and a University of the East-Tan Yan Kee scholar. 

She earned her medical degree from St. Luke’s Medical Center College of Medicine-William H. Quasha Memorial and was an academic scholar from 2014 to 2018. She passed her board examinations in 2019. 

Experience

Camille started her medical practice in 2019 as a clinic physician, working as an on-site physician and a validating physician. She also did services in various hospitals as an emergency and ward physician. 

She eventually entered government service in 2020 as a Medical Officer for a government bureau under the Department of Justice. During the COVID-19 surge, she moved to public health service as a Medical Officer under the Department of Health focusing on patient navigation and referral services. She had a short part-time experience as a community physician and educator for medical students in 2021. 

She is currently a Medical Officer and does freelance academic and scientific writing.  With her passion for education and sharing knowledge and information, she contributes articles for filipiknow.net.
