What are the rights of an illegitimate child in the Philippines?
An illegitimate child has the following rights (Art. 176, family Code):
- Right to be recognized and use the surname of the father in applicable situations discussed in this article
- Right to be supported in conformity with the Family Code on support
- Right to the inheritance which is one half of the legitime of a legitimate child
