Yes, you can but only on the following conditions:
1. The extension is due to:
- Force majeure
- Humanitarian reasons
- Serious personal reasons where it is not possible for you to leave the Schengen area before the expiry of your visa
2. You have stayed less than 90 days in the Schengen area, in the course of the past 180 days.
3. Your current visa is not expired.
