An Ultimate Guide to Landline Area Codes in the Philippines
If you’re calling someone in the Philippines through a landline number, you may need to dial the person’s phone number together with the area code designated to that number. The latter varies depending on the receiver’s current location.
For example, if you’re dialing someone in Batangas but you’re from Manila, you will need to dial the Batangas landline area code.
Fortunately, we have compiled all the area codes in the country so you won’t have to memorize them.
A landline area code is a combination of numbers assigned to every region in the country. So if you are dialing a telephone number in a different region, you must put the region’s landline area code at the beginning of the number to successfully connect with it.
Let’s say you are calling a landline number in Batangas but you’re from Manila. To be able to connect with it, you will need to add the prefix 43 (Batangas area code) to the telephone number. In other words, if the landline number is 123-4567, you must dial 043-123-4567.
On the other hand, if you are calling someone in the same area code as yours, no need to add an area code. The landline number is enough.
Most area codes in the country consist of only one or two digits so it’s not that difficult to remember. But, in case you forgot it, feel free to refer to our list below.
