How Long Does It Take To Renew the Philippine Passport?
Passport renewal has become a lot easier because of DFA’s Online Passport Appointment System. Appointment slots are made available daily so make sure to check the website regularly. Most of the time, you can secure an appointment scheduled for the following month. If you’re lucky, you might get a slot for the following week.
If you’re only for renewal and there aren’t any major changes in your name or civil status, you can finish the application process at DFA in as quickly as 20-30 minutes.
Regular processing takes about 10-15 working days while expedite processing will only take 5-7 working days. You can claim your passport at least 2 days earlier if you’ll choose the pick-up option instead of the door-to-door delivery.
