The average daily cost per traveler in the Philippines is only around Php 1,500 (30 USD) or less, depending on the destination.
Cash is the most accepted mode of payment in the country, so be sure to bring enough for your entire stay, especially if you’ll travel to remote areas that don’t accept credit cards and have no ATMs.
Consider also that travelers can bring up to $10,000 (or its equivalent in another currency) into or out of the Philippines.
You can carry a higher amount, though. But you’re required to declare it upon arrival at the Bureau of Customs Desk at the airport. If you don’t, you may be fined or jailed, or your money may be confiscated.
