How much can you cash-in to your GCash wallet?
In GCash lingo, “cash-in” means loading or funding your GCash account. In other words, you’re converting your regular cash into GCash so you can finally use it in your online or offline transactions.
Assuming that you’ve completed the account verification (also known as “Know Your Customer” or KYC), your monthly cash-in limit is now increased to Php 100,000. By contrast, unverified GCash users can only cash-in up to Php 40,000 a month.
Meanwhile, PowerPay+ employees have the highest maximum monthly cash-in limit of Php 500,000.
Is there a transaction fee every time you cash-in?
It depends on the cash-in channel you use to fund your GCash wallet.
Cashing in via PBCOM online banking comes with no charge. If you’re going to use online banking via BPI or RCBC, there’s a Php 1.00 service fee each time you cash-in.
Other banks charge more expensive fees. AUB (Asia United Bank) and PSBank both charge Php 10 per transaction while Maybank and Metrobank require a service fee of Php 25 every time you cash in.
On the other hand, no fee will be charged if you’re going to load your GCash account through 7-Eleven (and other GCash Partner Outlets), UnionBank, PayPal and linked debit cards.
How to Load GCash: What are the different ways to fund your mobile wallet?
There are two methods to top up your GCash wallet.
You can cash-in either through mobile money transfers with the use of the GCash app or by over-the-counter transactions at one of many GCash Partner Outlets.
1. How to Load GCash via the GCash app.
You can load your GCash wallet anytime and anywhere as long as you have money in your online bank account or PayPal. To transfer the money from these channels and convert them into GCash, follow the instructions below.
a. Log in to your GCash app and click the “Cash-In” option.
b. Choose the online cash-in method you prefer.
Funding your GCash account through the mobile app is possible if you have a bank account enrolled in online banking, existing PayPal balance (in Philippine peso), or remittances sent by your loved ones.
Listed below are the different mobile facilities to choose from if you want to load GCash with just a few taps on the app.
i. Online Banking.
- MasterCard/Visa Debit Card
ii. Remittance Partners.
- Western Union
iii. Payment Partners.
c. Provide the requested details to proceed with the cash-in transaction.
Regardless of your choice, GCash will guide you every step of the way. Simply tap the mobile facility of your choice and follow the instructions that will appear afterward.
For online banking, you will be asked to log in to your online banking facility, provide your bank account’s 6-digit MPIN, or your 11-digit GCash account/phone number.
If you’ll fund your GCash wallet through remittances, expect to provide the money transfer control number (MTCN) or transaction reference which you can obtain from the sender.
Once the transaction has been approved and completed, you’ll receive a confirmation message thru text both on the mobile numbers connected to your online banking and GCash accounts.
2. How to Load GCash via GCash Partner Outlets.
Aside from the app, you can also cash in through one of the thousands of GCash partner outlets nationwide. These outlets allow over-the-counter transactions to convert your cash into GCash.
To see the list of the most popular and accessible GCash Partner Outlets in the Philippines, log in to the GCash app, tap “Cash In” and look at the options under the first tab, “Over-the-Counter.”
For your convenience, here are the available GCash Partner Outlets where you can cash in your money over the counter:

- eTap/Pay & Go
c. Department Stores.
